Monday ~ March 10

Yesterday was another day of "discovery". Although we started off thinking we were going to revisit United Streaming, we quickly got caught up with exploring "jott" ~ http://jott.com/default.aspx. Jott "converts your voice into emails, text messages, reminders, lists and appointments. I had played with the basic "appointment" feature before, but luckily Judy Beaver was there and she was able to walk us through how to set up Jott and Google Calendar. Rachel Lau, Kai Nelson and Dan Tuttle quickly realized this would be an amazing tool to use with their students. They regulary use Google Calendar to organize their coursework and to be able to send reminders to the students' calendars brought up some intereesting ideas.

Our next meeting is planned for Monday, March 31, in Rachel's room again. The topics of interest are; how to link ical to Google Calendar, basic RSS feeds, Gcast, Flickr and Scratch.

Please join us! All are welcome and the more the merrier.

Welcome...

Every other Monday a group of "die hard techies" converge on Rachel Lau's Room (Case Middle School) to play. Although we can be seen sipping tea, this isn't a serene setting. From 3:00-4:00 we collaborate, talk, argue, explore, and share new technologies that are available to us as educators and our students. I am the facilitator, but the faculty members bring the energy! After every meeting I will highlight what we found, and what we will be covering at our next meeting. Enjoy my blog -- but better yet, come join us. I promise you will be inspired!
